About the Recipe
A well deserved warm treat for all those busy Gardeners during brisk Autumn days in the garden patch. Garnish to taste with traditional citrus, herbs & species. Cheers!

Ingredients
Based on single portion
1 orange, sliced and seeded
1/3 cup sugar (or 1/3 cup honey)
2 cups water
1 teaspoon ground cloves
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
1 bottle red wine
Preparation
Step 1
Combine the orange, sugar, water, and spices in a large stainless steel or enameled pot. Or, use a slow cooker.
Step 2
Slowly bring to a boil, but then immediately reduce heat and simmer for 15 minutes.
Step 3
Reduce heat again, add wine, and slowly reheat but do not boil. Serve warm in cups. Garnish with orange slices, if desired.

Note - CAUTION the heated mixture and cooking pans will be super HOT, please take care.
